Get to know more about meHey, I'm Mahpara.
I know this looks like a bit of a mix—but it all makes sense, I promise.
Over the last few years, I've worked in law across Pakistan and the UK, supporting senior lawyers in everything from family cases to immigration and public law. I'm especially proud of my drafting skills and the way I connect with clients, right now, I offer freelance legal support to UK firms from abroad. (You'll find samples of my work here, replicas, of course. Real ones are confidential.)
I also tutor. I started tutoring English and Law part-time when I first moved to the UK, and never really stopped. My students do well, but more importantly, they understand what they're learning. You can see what they say here.
And somewhere along the way, I became that person that my friends came to for CV advice, UK job applications, and "what do I do with my degree?" chats. I've been through the whole international student mess, and I got a sponsored job offer before I decided to leave the UK. So now, I help people avoid the mistakes I made and double down on what works, through my support hub.
Oh.. and I'm also the founder of Adastra, a self-help tool designed to make relationships safer for people who feel stuck, confused, or afraid. If you're curious, have a look at theadastra.co.uk or contact us at info@theadastra.co.uk.
This site pulls it all together, law, tutoring, mentoring, and everything else that makes up the kind of work I want to keep doing.
